How does IPL Work?
The system delivers a controlled flash of intense pulsed light (IPL) to the hair which is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle which destroys the cells responsible for the re-growth of new hair.
How many treatments?
The success and frequency of treatments depends on hair and skin type. After a thorough consultation prior to treatment the clinician will be able to inform you on the process, allowing you to fully understand the expectations of the treatment.
The majority of clients see visible results after 3 to 10 treatments.
Treatments need to be performed at 4 to 6 week intervals to eliminate and impede hair growth.
What areas can be treated?
Unwanted hair can be removed from most parts of the body including face legs arms under arms chest back neck and bikini line.
Is it painful?
A little discomfort may be experienced as some parts of the body may be more sensitive than others. The sensation you may experience is that of a “flicking” feeling.
The treatment is so gentle that the use of topical numbing creams is not necessary.
Who is suitable for IPL treatments?
Most skin types respond very well to IPL, we perform a test patch prior to treatment to asses your skin type.
